Spring Valley Police

Public intoxication

Amanda R. Rynkewicz, 22, of Oglesby was charged with city ordinance violations of public drunkenness and indecent exposure in the 200 block of East Saint Paul Street at 1:11 a.m. July 27.

Dog running at large

Nicole R. McNair, 29, of Spring Valley was charged with city ordinance violations of dog running at large and failure to secure city dog tags in her home, at 30 Cambridge Drive, at 1:50 p.m. July 25.

Domestic battery

Kenneth Hancock, 56, of Spring Valley was charged with domestic battery in the 300 block of West Saint Paul Street at 8 a.m. July 27.

Warrant arrest

Dean M. Smedley, 47, of Spring Valley was picked up at 1:18 a.m. July 26 in his home, at 300 block of West Minnesota Street, on a Marshall County Warrant for failure to appear for a domestic battery charge.

Accidents

A two-vehicle collision involving drivers Tyler T. Dobrich, 20, of DePue and Earl J. Gray, 51, of Oglesby occurred on Route 29 near Coal Miners Road at 9:36 a.m. July 26. Dobrich was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

A vehicle driven by Douglas T. Colmone, 49, of Spring Valley struck a parked vehicle owned by Jose L. Rocha, 50, of Peru in the parking lot of the Walmart Distribution Center at 1 p.m. July 24.

A two-vehicle collision involving drivers Cynthia A. Lucas, 55, of DePue and Robert A. Sollars, 61, of Ohio occurred on West Dakota Street near Richards Street at 2:29 p.m. July 25. Lucas was charged with driving too fast for conditions.
