Five more entries received in PJWC baby contest

PRINCETON — Five more entries have been received in this year’s Princeton Junior Woman’s Club baby contest.

They are: Aubrey Dunn, 20 months, the daughter of Joe and Angel Dunn of Princeton; Estella Faith Vergamini, 6 months, the daughter of Evelyn Vergamini of Princeton and Adam Hattan of Princeton; Lyricah Barkley, 7 months, the daughter of Andrea Carlson and Kenny Barkley of Princeton; Robert Pikula, 16 months, the son of William and Ana Pikula of Spring Valley; and Chase Oliver, 9 months, the son of Nathan and Ashley Oliver of Princeton.

Entrants must be Bureau County residents under 24 months of age as of Sept. 13. Contest entries must be emailed to Princetonjuniors@hotmail.com by Aug. 15.

To enter, email a snapshot-size color photograph of the child to Princetonjuniors@hotmail.com. No professional photos will be accepted. The child’s name, sex, current age, birth date, and parents’ names, addresses, and home and work phone numbers must be included in the email.

Voting will begin Aug. 15 and continue until noon Sept. 12. The photographs will be displayed at Central Bank, Midland States Bank, Centrue Bank and Heartland Bank. The photos will be rotated on a weekly basis between the four banks. Dates and details will be announced.

Each photograph will have a corresponding canister in which to place votes. One dollar equals 100 votes. The winner will be notified Sept. 12 and introduced during that evening’s Homestead Festival awards ceremony and pork dinner/ice cream social.

Prizes will be given to the winners, as well as the first boy and girl runners-up. All winners and their parents will have a spot in the Homestead Festival parade.

PJWC will donate all the proceeds from the contest back to the community through various projects and organizations.
