Kaitlyn Ptasnik, Rachel Brummel, Tori Boyle, Jed Barnes and Thomas Samuels promote Renaissance and the Drive 4 Ur School fundraiser in the Walnut parade.

MANLIUS — Bureau Valley High School will host a Drive 4 UR School fundraiser from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Fisch Motors is bringing Ford Motor Company’s Drive 4 Ur School program to the BV community in an effort to help the BVHS Renaissance program raise money. The Renaissance Program will receive $20 donated from Ford Motor Company and Fisch Motors for their program for each test drive that takes place on Aug. 22. Dealership staff will be able to assist with all Ford vehicles and provide additional information about each vehicle. Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test-drive per household. Test drives will last approximately 7-10 minutes. Immediately after your test drive, there will be a short form to fill out, and then you’re done. You will not be contacted by anyone after you drive.

Renaissance is a nationally recognition program designed to boost school’s academics with excitement, appreciation and energy. BVHS Renaissance currently sponsors students/staff of the month awards and breakfasts, field trips for nominated students, birthday cakes and announcements, Renaissance cards and more. BVHS Renaissance has also won a national Jostens Renaissance Eagle’s Choice Award after only one year of establishing this program.

A concession stand will be available from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
