Princeton Christian Academy will have its first day of school Aug. 20.

PRINCETON — Princeton Christian Academy will open its doors to kindergarten through eighth-grade students for the first day of school on Aug. 20 for a full day of school. The Sonshine Preschool will open two weeks later on Sept. 3.

PCA enrollment nears 100 students for this new school year with some classes close to reaching the maximum of 15 students per classroom. Any parents still considering enrolling their children in PCA should do so immediately before class size limits are reached. Parents may call the school office at 815-875-2933 for more information.

Orientation for PCA parents and students is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Aug. 18. The evening will begin with an assembly in the auditorium where the staff will be introduced and school procedures will be covered. After that parents and students will travel to the various classrooms to meet the teachers and receive more specific information on class expectations and the course of study. Opportunities for parent involvement and student extra-curricular participation will be available in the foyer with sign-up sheets on tables. All required medical and school forms are to be submitted that evening. It is imperative that at least one parent from each family attend the orientation. A fellowship time in the gymnasium with cookies and punch will finish off the orientation evening.

The Sonshine Preschool orientation will take place at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 20 in the preschool classroom. Parents and students will be able to meet the staff, see the facility and receive information about the program and the upcoming school year. All preschool parents and students are encouraged to come to orientation.
