More entries received in this year’s Princeton Junior Women’s Club baby contest

PRINCETON — Seven more entries have been received in this year’s Princeton Junior Woman’s Club baby contest.

They are: Emma Sterling, 14 months, the daughter of Edin Stachowiak and Nick Sterling of Seatonville; Madilyn “Maddie” Hildebrand, 17 months, the daughter of Jason and Sara Hildebrand of Princeton; Dexter Michael Bankes, 9 months, the son of Brooke and Brandon Bankes of Malden; Harper Shaw, 10 months, the daughter of Jared and Lane Shaw of Princeton; Logan Duffy, 21 months, the son of Duanna Duffy of Princeton; Anaisabela Ramirez-Tz, 19 months, the daughter of Ciara Trowbridge-Zawodniak and Evaristo Ramirez-Vasquez of Princeton; and Arnulfo “AJ” Sarabia, 21 months, the son of Vanessa Martinez of DePue.

Entrants must be Bureau County residents under 24 months of age as of Sept. 13. Contest entries must be emailed to Princetonjuniors@hotmail.com by Aug. 15.

To enter, email a snapshot-size color photograph of the child to Princetonjuniors@hotmail.com. No professional photos will be accepted. The child’s name, sex, current age, birth date, and parents’ names, addresses, and home and work phone numbers must be included in the email.

Voting will begin Aug. 15 and continue until noon Sept. 12. The photographs will be displayed at Central Bank, Midland States Bank, Centrue Bank and Heartland Bank. The photos will be rotated on a weekly basis between the four banks. Dates and details will be announced.

Each photograph will have a corresponding canister in which to place votes. One dollar equals 100 votes. The winner will be notified Sept. 12 and introduced during that evening’s Homestead Festival awards ceremony and pork dinner/ice cream social.

Prizes will be given to the winners, as well as the first boy and girl runners-up. All winners and their parents will have a spot in the Homestead Festival parade.

The Princeton Junior Woman’s Club will donate all the proceeds from the contest back to the community through various projects and organizations.
