At Oak Ridge: Ian Nichols claimed medalist honors in the season opener for Princeton at Senica’s Oak Ridge Golf Course in LaSalle, shooting a 39.

Host LaSalle-Peru, however, edged the Tigers 177-179. Colby Robbins added a 44 for PHS, Colten Ervin a 46, Miles Rose a 50, Austin Jamison a 51 and Colin Pierson a 54.

L-P was led by Kyle Hanck (40) and Kyle Quick (44).

Bryce Nyman (48) and Trevor Bickett (49) led the PHS JV (203) in defeat. L-P’s John Pohard (44) was medalist, the Cavs shooting a 190.

At Baker Park: Ryan Ott and Matt Hoscheid each shot 44s for Hall (190) in Monday’s opener in Kewanee. Geneseo edged the host Boilers 159-161.

Dominic Marenda and Hayden Nielsen each shot 46s for the Hall JV (212).
