Grand jury returns indictments

PRINCETON — A Bureau County grand jury returned the following indictments when it met in session recently at the Bureau County Courthouse in Princeton:

• Alexis M. Davis, 30, of Spring Valley was indicted for the Class 2 felony of burglary. Davis is accused of entering a Princeton business on June 27, with the intent to commit a theft. Princeton Police Patrolman Scott Underwood testified before the grand jury. Davis is in custody with bond set at $30,000.

• Andrew J. Hart, 50, of Downers Grove was indicted for the Class 3 felony of theft. He is accused of taking a camera from a Marseilles man on July 27, at the Hennepin Canal. Bureau County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Pat Linder testified before the grand jury. Hart is free from custody having posted 10 percent of a $10,000 bond.

• Dallas C. Duckworth, 19, of Wyanet was indicted for two counts of the Class 2 felony of burglary. He is accused of entering a motor vehicle of a Tiskilwa man on Aug. 12, and also entering a motor vehicle of a Princeton woman on July 19, with the intent to commit a theft. Bureau County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Jeremy Roush and Princeton Police Department Investigator John Shofner testified before the grand jury. Duckworth is in custody with bond set at $20,000.

• There was one suppressed case.

Indictments were presented to the grand jury by State’s Attorney Patrick Herrmann, First Assistant State’s Attorney Anthony Sciuto and Assistant State’s Attorney Daniel Anderson.

The indictments on Hart and the suppressed case were returned before Circuit Judge Marc Bernabei. The indictments on Davis and Duckworth were returned before Associate Judge C.J. Hollerich.
