PHS to dedicate Van Drew Memorial Press Box

Princeton High School will dedicate the new David Van Drew Memorial Press Box during a presentation on the field before the kickoff of the varsity football game against Morrison on Friday, Aug. 29.

The press box is in appreciation of Van Drew’s service and dedication to the Princeton High School athletic program from 1970-1991 as broadcaster for WZOE Radio.

Van Drew passed away in September of 2013.

Seating plan: The new bleachers at Princeton High School will have all fans sitting in the same bleachers this year on the east side of Bryant Field. Princeton fans will be located on the south end of the bleachers closest to the concession stand and will continue through the section past the press box.

PHS students voted to sit in the Blue Rush Zone, which will be located in the north end zone. Logan Junior High School students must be accompanied by an adult to enter the game and must sit in the bleachers during the game.

Visitor seating will be in the three sections on the north end of the bleachers.

Entrance to the field may be obtained through two locations: the gate on Crown Street and also at the corner of Central Avenue and Homer Street.
