PHS tops Indian Creek: The Princeton Tigresses easily defeated host Indian Creek at Indian Oaks Country Club in Shabbona Tuesday, 207-233. Medalist Arraia Hicks led the Tigresses with a 48. PHS also scored with Sophia Suarez (50), Audra Reidner (53) and Sarah Crowe (56) with newcomers Brooke Hieronymus and Jaimee Ciesielski adding a 62 and 63, respectively.

PHS coach Will Gross said the Tigresses are still working to improve on some early-season mistakes that are costing them valuable strokes.

“As a team will continue to focus on course management and try and cut down and eventually eliminate the big numbers,” Gross said. “I was extremely happy to see Jaimee and Brooke take major strides in improving their games. They have been working hard on the range and at practices and it was wonderful seeing them put that in play last night and gaining some much needed confidence on the course throughout the match.”

Eustice medals: St. Bede senior Sydney Eustice shot a medalist 42 to lead St. Bede to victory over host Putnam County (226) Tuesday at Edgewood Park Golf Club in McNabb. Also for St. Bede, Aiko Mendoza had a 48, Tess Montez a 57 and Taylor Hamer a 61. Kelsey Grosenbach (47) led PC.
