SALINA, Kan. — Mary M. Kinnett, 94, passed away Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, at Holiday Resort in Salina, Kan.
She was born in Elwood, Ind., on Nov. 18, 1919, to Ola and Gertrude (DeVaney) Porter. On Nov. 15, 1940, Mary was married to Wayne Kinnett and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2007.
Mary was a housewife and a homemaker who enjoyed playing various board games and cards, especially Euchre. She was a member of Harbour Shores Baptist Church in Noblesville, Ind.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Gaye N. Kinnett of Salina, Kan., and two granddaughters, Amy and husband Ryan Crouch and Diana Kinnett, all of Princeton. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Elijah Crouch and Hope Crouch of Princeton, along with two daughters-in-law, Jean Ann DeGood of Princeton and Barbara Kinnett of Hennepin, and several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son, Larry Kinnett.
Friends and family may call at the Porter Funeral Home, located at 726 E. North St. in Tipton on Thursday, Sept. 4, from noon to 2 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Don Jennings officiating. Interment will follow in Tipton's Fairview Cemetery.
