LAS VEGAS — Robert "Bob" Ealey, 68, formerly of Wyanet, passed away Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, after a short illness.
He lived in Wyanet until he graduated from high school in 1963. He had been a resident of Las Vegas for the past 25 years. During those years, he worked for the state of Nevada as an auditor in several positions until retirement from the Attorney General's Office in 2011. After six months of retirement he went back to work part-time at the state of Nevada Private Investigator's Licensing Board until his death.
Surviving are his wife, Sandy (Olk) of Las Vegas; one son, James (Carrie) of Las Vegas; a granddaughter, Ashley of Las Vegas; one sister, Martha Terando of Las Vegas; one brother, Jim (Judy) Ealey of Oregon, Ill.; one sister-in-law, Sherrie (Bob) Harring of Tucson, Ariz.; one brother-in-law, David (Jane) Olk of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mavis; a sister, Kate; and two brothers, Donald and David.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., Las Vegas, with a funeral service to follow at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nev.
