LAMOILLE — According to LaMoille Police Chief Terry Cromwell, at 4:45 p.m. on Jan. 5, Renee Steupfert of LaMoille said after parking her vehicle at the LaMoille Post Office, she got out to enter the building, but noticed her vehicle was moving.

Cromwell said, “She jumped back in, but she hit the gas instead of the brake.”

The vehicle struck the front of the building and caused damage.

According to a postal employee, the building is closed indefinitely for retail business, but remains open for box and street delivery.

Cromwell said there were no injuries, and no citations issued.
