DEKALB — Anita J. Dimmig, 88, formerly of Walnut, died Thursday, March 16, 2017, at DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center in DeKalb.
Born Nov. 25, 1928, in Princeton, the daughter of George H. and Viola (Gallentine) Cameron, she married Richard C. Dimmig on Aug. 3, 1962, in Mendota. He preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 1996.
Surviving are one daughter, Jan (Bruce) Dimmig Olson of Leland; four grandchildren, Katrina Brandau of St. Charles, Andrea Dimmig Potts of St. Louis, Mo., and Benjamin and Nathan Sachse of Leland; one niece, Cathy Capp of Rock Falls; and one nephew, J.R. Cameron of Citrus Springs, Fla.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home with the Gary Brooks, pastor of the Malden United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery.
Memorial may be directed to the Alzhiemer’s Association or the charity of the donor’s choice.
