LASALLE — Illinois State Police (ISP) officials are announcing the arrest of Matthew Curtis Remling, 48, of Sacramento, Calif., for trafficking of a controlled substance and other felony charges.
On Wednesday, April 12, at approximately 12:36 p.m., an ISP trooper stopped a vehicle driven by Remling for an equipment violation on Interstate 80, eastbound near Mile Marker 78.
During the course of the investigation, illegal narcotics were discovered. Remling was subsequently arrested and charged with trafficking of a controlled substance, possession of more than 900 grams of cocaine and possession with the intent to deliver.
Remling was taken to the LaSalle County Jail.
