TISKILWA — Anna Mae Stowe, 95, of Tiskilwa passed away at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Anna Mae was born Aug. 12, 1921, in Tiskilwa to Michael and Anna (Poff) Tyne. She married Elvin "Al" H. Stowe on Sept. 13, 1940, in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1980.
Surviving are her children, Roxanna Martin of Petersburg, Ill., Janice (Don) Johnson of Long Grove, Iowa, and Leland (Jean) Stowe and Elaine Case, both of Tiskilwa; one sister, Lois Satterfield of Fulton; 19 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two son, Bill and Carl Stowe; one daughter, Linda Doyle; one granddaughter; three grandsons; and a granddaughter-in-law.
Anna Mae was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother to many. She was a member of two different craft clubs for over 50 years.
She will be remembered for her Sunday noon dinners at the farm. The family shared cards and laughter with all who attended.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at the Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, 513 Carroll St. in Henry. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Sylvia Larssen officiating. Burial will follow at the Henry Cemetery in Henry.
