Ladd Village Board

LADD — The Ladd Village Board conducted the following business in July:

• Passed an Illinois Department of Transportation resolution for the installation of a force main sewer for Casey’s General Store.

• Approved L.E. Myers pay request of $92,613.98 for work completed on the east end electric upgrade project.

• Authorized President Mike Grivetti to sign the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association Intergovernmental Cooperation contract.

• Approved the replacement of 15 feet of sidewalk at 225 S. Iowa Ave.

• Determined the removal of two trees at 202 S. Central Ave. is not a priority, as they are not dead.

• Accepted a proposal of $17,540.25 from Advanced Asphalt Co. for patching on East Cleveland Street.

• Approved a change order of $2,705.20 and a pay request of $48,856.20 from Pavement Maintenance Services for chip seal of village streets.

• Passed an ordinance directing the erection of a stop sign in the northerly direction of Hennepin Avenue at its intersection with Cleveland Street.

• Accepted a proposal of $600 from Bain Exterior & Roofing to repair the leaking roof at the Ladd Community Center.

• Accepted the plan commission’s recommendation to grant variances to Mike Biccochi to contract a garage in a front yard and to reduce the side-yard setback from 12.5 feet to 3 feet.

• Approved liquor licenses for Cancun, Dick’s, Rip’s, Savario’s, Softails, Casey’s, Ladd Lanes and Ladd Moose Lodge.

• Discussed the condition of the grounds at War Memorial Park and will contact a landscaping service for assistance.

• Reviewed a list of items to be addressed after an inspection of the electric upgrade.
