BCRTA will meet Sept. 21

PRINCETON — Harlan Ehmen, president of the Bureau County Retired Teachers' Association (BCRTA), invites all retired teachers living in Bureau County to attend the first fall meeting of the BCRTA which will begin with a catered luncheon prepared by Poor Boys' Catering of Princeton for a nominal cost of $11 per person at noon on Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Princeton Public Library. Yearly dues of $10 for the local BCRTA will be collected as well.

The program for the meeting will be presented at approximately 12:30 p.m. by Jim Bachman, executive director for the Illinois Retired Teachers' Association (IRTA), who will bring the audience up-to-date on Springfield happenings. Participants may attend either the luncheon and the program, or just the program. Spouses are always welcome and members may invite a retired colleague to attend as well.

To make reservations for the luncheon and/or the program, contact Alice Ehmen at 815-638-2387 or ehmenah@gmail.com, or Connie Espel at 815-303-8982 or cespel@ivnet.com by Monday, Sept. 18.
