PRINCETON — To raise money for the Princeton Ministerial Association (PMA) Emergency Assistance Fund, the St. Matthews Saintly Spaghetti Supper will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, the church’s Fellowship Hall.

The meal is $7 per person and $5 for children age 12 and under (children age 3 and under can eat for free) along with carry-outs being available. A majority of the food costs have been covered by Thrivent.

The PMA Emergency Assistance Fund is greatly supported by Church Women United and other benevolent entities. These funds assist many households in a time of need but have been strained hard already this year. The available funds usually are sufficient to help people through December each year, but state budget issues have led to reduced or no funding of some other sources of assistance. In recent weeks, the PMA Emergency Assistance Fund has helped fill the void but depleting available PMA money.

In addition for this benefit, silent auction items have been added this year. Also, there are raffle tickets for a handmade quilt, with tickets costing $1 or six for $5.

St. Matthews is located at 416 E. Dover Road in Princeton. For more information, email StMatthewsPrinceton@gmail.com, visit www.StMatthewsPrinceton.org or call 815-879-6491.
