MOPS fundraiser

PRINCETON — A Prep Freeze Cook fundraiser to benefit Bureau County Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is planned. Participants will have a choice of 10 meals (each feeds 4 to 5 people), already prepped and ready to cook for $160. Gluten free, Keto, Whole 30, Paleo and vegetarian options as well. A full menu is available on its Facebook event. The order deadline and money is due on Friday, Oct. 6. For information, call Katie Tibbitts at 815-579-6702.

Children’s Dental Day offered Thursday

PERU — A free children’s dental clinic will be offered from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at the office of Dina Lunken, D.D.S, 803 21st St. in Peru. Care will be provided for children ages 2 to 12 with no insurance primarily to relieve pain. This will be a first come, first served basis; no appointments will be taken.

Guest speaker Thursday in Henry

HENRY — Brian “Fox” Ellis will present “John Deere: A Discussion of the History and Future of Agriculture” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Henry Public Library.

GFWC meeting on Oct. 10

PRINCETON — The GFWC Woman’s Club of Princeton will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at the Prouty Building in Princeton. John of 360 Green and Grow, an aquaponics company that designs and produces home systems, will talk about growing your own vegetables and herbs year-round in your own home using fish and water.
