The Walnut Chamber of Commerce’s second annual Fall Fest on Main will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, on North Main Street in Walnut.
Those who went last year will see many of their favorite activities returning this year, as well as some new activities for the whole family. There will be family Bingo, live music, kids’ games, hayrack rides, a 50/50 drawing, pumpkin painting, face painting and a vendor show.
The Walnut Fire Department will have an open house with kids’ activities and kids can get into the fun by spraying a fire hose from noon to 2 p.m.
The new events this year include the Main Fun Run/Walk, a 1.2-mile course that costs $5 to tackle. It begins at 11 a.m., with registration at 10 a.m.
Another new event is Wild Times Exotic Animals, which is sponsored by Citizens First State Bank. This offers the opportunity to interact with animals from noon to 2 p.m.
