Kewanee (3-3, 2-1) at Princeton (2-4, 2-1)

Game time: 7:30 p.m. Friday, Bryant Field.

BCR insider: The longtime rivals will clash for the 119th time, with PHS holding a 58-54-6 series lead dating back to the 1890s. In the present, the Tigers and Boilers are in a log jam for second place in the TRAC Mississippi behind unbeaten Hall. “Kewanee will be a huge game. There is a lot on the line in that it’s a rivalry game, senior night, battle for second place in the Mississippi, as well as playoff implications for both teams,” PHS coach Ryan Pearson said. “We definitely have to contain their athletes and not let them beat us with big plays. We did a great job of taking care of the little things last Friday night and to have success, we have to do much of the same this week. It should be a lot of fun.” The day’s events kick off at 5:30 a.m. from Bryant Field with WQAD Channel 8’s The Score pregame pep rally. ... PHS must win out to become playoff eligible with games remaining at Monmouth-Roseville and St. Bede. Kewanee is in better shape with three wins under its belt having games with M-R and St. Bede also remaining.

Last week: Kewanee beat Sherrard 31-14; PHS beat E-P 47-7.

Last year: PHS 28-20.

All-time series: PHS 58-54-6.

Radio: WZOE 1490 AM.

Rockridge (5-1, 2-1) at Bureau Valley (4-2, 1-1)

Game time: 7:30 p.m. Friday, Storm Stadium.

BCR insider: The Storm’s path to qualifying for the playoffs doesn’t become much easier with the Rockets coming to town. Rockridge, which was ranked No. 8 in last week’s 2A poll, has lost only to Newman, a game it led 15-0 before the Comets rallied to win 22-21. BV, which is receiving votes in the AP Poll, lost to Newman 55-6 last week. The Rockets have a one-point victory over Fulton (40-39). “They have many weapons offensively and are very well coached defensively and have playmakers on that side of the ball as well,” BV coach Joe Schmitt said. ... The Storm need to find one more win with Orion (5-1) and Morrison (3-3) remaining after Rockridge.
