Sheriff cautions motorists of slow moving vehicles

PRINCETON — Bureau County Sheriff James Reed released a reminder that fall months bring heavier traffic, as well as slow moving vehicles and farm implements to Bureau County roadways.

Drivers are urged to use caution when approaching curves, intersections and hillsides, especially on secondary roads, he said. Understand that Bureau County is a largely agricultural community, and we rely heavily on our farmers and agricultural businesses. Please be courteous and understanding to their use of the roadways and make sure to leave a little earlier for work or appointments to allow for any possible delays.
