Car cruise night

PRINCETON — The Princeton Lions Club and Culver’s will host a Cruise Night from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Princeton Culver’s, located on Ace Road across from Walmart. The event will include tip boards, door prizes and music by Bad Dog DJ Service.

ALA Unit 125 to hold workshop

PRINCETON — American Legion Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton will conduct its veterans workshop at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, at the post home, 1549 W. Peru St. in Princeton. For needed supplies, call chairman Clara Pease at 815-872-0430. After the workshop, the business meeting will be called to order at 10:15 a.m. All members are encouraged to attend this meeting. Anyone eligible to join the Auxiliary is encouraged this meeting. New members are needed and encouraged to contact the Auxiliary for information at 815-872-1417 in the evenings or ask any Auxiliary member.

Halloween costume parade

PRINCETON — The annual Princeton Halloween parade costume contest, sponsored by the Princeton Optimist Club, for children ages 0 to 12 will be Saturday, Oct. 28, beginning at Soldiers and Sailors Park in Princeton. Costume judging will begin at 11 a.m. and the parade will follow. The children will parade north on Main Street to the pumpkin races where each child will receive a bag of goodies and the winners of the contest will be announced. There will be four age categories — 0-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12.

Chicken family-style dinner in LaMoille

LAMOILLE — A chicken family-style dinner, presented by the LaMoille Lions Club, will be served from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at the LaMoille Lions Club, 308 Howard St. in LaMoille. The dinner includes chicken, fries, pasta, salad, bread and butter, and dessert. Tickets are $9 for adults, $4.50 for ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.

PAC announces gallery exhibit

PRINCETON — The Prairie Arts Center will present ‘Scrisual Arts,” a collection of Christian paintings by Jack Olson, every weekend in October from 1 to 4 p.m. The center is located at 24 Park Ave. East in Princeton.

Annual salad luncheon in Hennepin

HENNEPIN — St. Patrick’s Altar and Rosary in Hennepin will have its annual salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the church hall, 920 E. Dore Drive. Tickets are $8 and can purchased from parish members or at the door.
