Mr. and Mrs. Duane May of Princeton will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family.
Duane May and the former Nancy Cordrey were united in marriage Nov. 14, 1957, by the Rev. Harvey Grable at the United Methodist Church in Rockford. Their attendants were Arlene DesHotel and Peter F. Larsen, both now deceased.
They are the parents of three sons, Steven May (and special friend Jenifer), Kyle (Angelica) May and Chad (Gloria) May. They have seven grandchildren, Joshua May, Megan May, Ashley May, Hallie (Matt) Monroe, McCaela May, Samuel May and Mitchell May, and one great-granddaughter, Taylor May, and a great-grandchild on the way. They have three stepgrandchildren, Andrew, Angel and Adrianna Husser.
Duane farmed all his life before moving to Princeton in 2010. He now enjoys taking care of an elaborate vegetable garden and completing puzzles in his spare time. Nancy is an avid flower gardener and homemaker, as well as a member of the Malden Methodist Church.
