Area teachers awarded grants

PRINCETON — The Gamma Phi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society, a society of women educators who promote professional and personal growth of its members and excellence in education, recently awarded grants to five young educators.

These grants were awarded to help first-, second- or third-year teachers purchase supplies, curriculum materials, or incentives/rewards to be used in the classroom. Grants were awarded to Jenny Adams, life skills teacher at Bureau Valley High School; Brianne Blumhorst, PE teacher at Bureau Valley North; Erica Currier, third-grade teacher at John F. Kennedy School; Kelsey DeSchepper, Spanish teacher at Hall High School; and Natalie Janusick, fourth-grade teacher at John F. Kennedy School.
