PRINCETON — Audrey Opal Herrett, 98, of Princeton passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.
Audrey was born on April 9, 1919, in Henry to Raymond and Lela (Euard) Thomas. She married Earl Reinhert, he was missing in action in World War II. She married Lloyd Herrett in 1951, he passed away in 1985.
She was a graduate of the University of Miami with a major in education and music. She taught piano and violin in her home for years.
She was a member of the Putnam Christian Church. She sang for many years in the choir for the Methodist church in California.
She is survived by her daughter, Sucanne Peters of Woodruff, Wis.; three cousins; three grandchildren, Scott Smith, Jennifer (Nick) Crocker and Robin (Dan) Davis; six great-grandchildren, Amber, Daphnee and Sterling Smith, Luke and Dash Crocker, and Audrey Joy Davis; one brother, Jerry (Alice) Yarrington of Princeton; two nephews, Barry Bernardi and Jay Yarrington; and one niece, Amy Boers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; and her sister, Faye Thomas Bernardi.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the Putnam Christian Church with the Rev. Terry Broady officiating. Interment will follow in the Putnam Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the church.
