PALM COAST, Fla. — Grayce Lee Burden, 60, of Palm Coast, Fla., formerly of Ohio, Ill., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. She received comfort from her family members and her best friends and caregivers, Jimmy and Claudette McGraw.
She was born Aug. 1, 1957, in Chicago to Martin and Elsie (Jensen) Burden.
She attended grade school and high school in Ohio, Ill. After graduation she continued her education at Sauk Valley College in Dixon. She lived in Florida for 20 years, enjoying the sunny and warm climate. She was employed by for many years in the Daytona Beach area, providing environmental customer services.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicole; her son, Michael; one granddaughter, Zariah; her twin sister, Gayle (Burden) Barkman; a brother-in-law, Chuck Barkman; aunts and uncles; and four nephews, Greg Smith, Tim Smith, Travis Barkman and Brett Barkman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Keeping with her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no funeral service.
