Ex-president should have kept his mouth shut

Silence is a virtue for those who are not wise. Does this apply to George W. Bush? All during President Obama’s tenure in office, former President Bush never said a word when Obama said that America is no longer a Christian nation. Or when Obama used executive orders to implement his Obamacare that was contrary to the Constitution. Or when Obama gave away the store, spending trillions of dollars to increase Democratic voters.

Bush could have made comments to counterbalance Obama’s Democratic liberal policies; however, he kept his mouth shut. Lincoln said a long time ago, “It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.”

Recently Bush “opened his mouth” and exposed himself to derogatory comments as he railed against Republican President Trump, calling him un-presidential for many reasons, and even stated that neither he nor his father, George H.W. Bush, voted for him and in the last election voted for a Democrat — Hillary Clinton. I think he should have “kept his mouth shut.”

They both want a one-world government, which will destroy the middle class in America.

I’m ashamed to call them Republicans; they are establishment politicians whose concern is basically for themselves rather than for the good of the country. I voted for both of them, and I am now deeply disappointed for how they voted in the last presidential election.

Bush may feel that what he said about Trump is what people all over America feel, but he is badly mistaken. However, I, along with many millions, believe in Trump and would like to get rid of the establishment politicians who are concerned with themselves and no one else.

Today, it seems there is little difference between Republicans and Democrats. We need term limits, but it will never happen, because both parties have establishment politicians whose concern is for themselves and not for the betterment of the country. That is exactly why Trump wants to drain the swamp.

Trump is doing the best he is able to do, given what the media and the Democratic Party and even lots of Republicans are doing to try to get rid of Trump as president, and it is a shame.

May the good God protect President Trump from these accusations so he can resurrect America to what it can and should be.

Carlo Olivero,

Dalzell
