Tri-DENT agents make heroin delivery arrests

OTTAWA — Tri-DENT agents made two separate heroin arrests in Ottawa on Jan. 3.

• Kimberly A. Haws, 32, of Ottawa was arrested at 4:03 p.m. in the 200 block of East Norris Drive after agents conducted a controlled purchase of less than one gram of purported heroin from Haws. After being taken into custody, two additional jeweler bags of purported heroin weighing less than one gram were found in her vehicle.

Haws was charged with the Class 2 felony of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (heroin) less than one gram and the Class 4 felony of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (heroin).

• Mandy M. Goins, 38, of Plano was arrested at 2:20 p.m. in the 500 block of East Norris Drive in Ottawa after agents conducted a controlled purchase of less than one gram of purported heroin from Goins. Located on Goins during the arrest was an additional 2.2 grams of purported heroin.

Goins was charged with the Class 2 felony of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (heroin) less than one gram and the Class 2 felony of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (heroin) with the intent to deliver 1-15 grams.
