Teresa Koger

PRINCETON — Teresa Marie Koger, 82, of Princeton passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, in Liberty Village Retirement Homes in Princeton.

Teresa was born July 18, 1936, in Chicago at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital to Joseph and Jenny Brogato. She graduated from DePaul University and went on to teach at Our Lady of Pompei in Chicago. She married Francis Koger on April 12, 1958, in Chicago.

Teresa retired from the Princeton School District after 20-plus years of service. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her five children, a daughter, Mary Koger of Princeton, and four sons, Francis Jr. (Elynn) Koger of Jenison, Mich., Mark (Sherri) Koger of Princeton, Roger Koger of Valrico, Fla., and Robert (Pam) Koger of Arnold, Mo.; her grandchildren, Francis L. (Beth) Koger III of Mississippi, Brandon J. (Lisa) Koger of Michigan, Nick Cerar of Virginia, Erica J. Koger of Illinois, William J. Koger of Missouri and Jacob M. Koger of Missouri; and her great-grandchildren, Griffin L. Koger of Mississippi and Gemma B. Koger of Mississippi.

Teresa was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Rose Fatigatti.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at the Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton, where a rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton with Father Daniel Gifford officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Princeton.

Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
