Genealogy help offered on March 24

PRINCETON — The Bureau County Genealogical Society will offer free genealogical help sessions by appointment on Saturday, March 24.

Two experienced Genealogical Society volunteers are eager to assist individuals that day wherever they are in their family research, whether they are entirely new to the hobby or are experienced and up against a “brick wall.”

For this first experience in scheduling these sessions, the Society is requesting that difficult questions be limited to Bureau County research. Based on the results of this first event, future dates for out-of-the area research questions may be offered later. All individual appointments will be for 30 minutes.

Anyone interested in scheduling an appointment should call 815-879-3133 or 815-875 8491, or stop by 629 S. Main St. during regular hours of operation, which are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
