LASALLE — LaSalle Police arrested a LaSalle man on drug charges following an investigation into heroin sales in the LaSalle-Peru area.
Joshua D. Bostic, 25, was picked up on a warrant at 4:54 p.m. Monday, March 5, on the corner of Third and Crosat streets in LaSalle.
According to a police report, Bostic sold less than one gram of heroin to a Tri-DENT officer.
Following the incident, police obtained an arrest warrant through the assistance of the LaSalle County State Attorney’s Office and charged Bostic with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance — heroin, a Class 2 felony.
Bostic was transported to LaSalle Police Department where agents discovered an additional 10 jewelers baggies in his possession containing a substance with purported heroin. Additional charges on those items found are pending as a review of the LaSalle County State’s Attorney’s Office and lab results are underway.
Bostic is being held at the LaSalle County Jail on a $500,000 bond for the warrant.
