Blood drive planned in Ohio

OHIO — An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday, April 23, at Ohio High School, 103 Memorial St. in Ohio. To make an appointment, download the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit redcrossblood.org or call 800-RED-CROSS.

HCGS will meet

KEWANEE — The Henry County Genealogical Society will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 23, in the second floor meeting room at the Kewanee Public Library. An elevator is available at the First Street entrance. The program will be given by the Dairy Maids of Bishop Hill, “Rip, Stitch and Wind” Early History of Bishop Hill. Everyone is welcome.

Malden After-School Program will hold fundraiser

MALDEN — A fundraiser benefitting the Malden After-School Program will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Rip’s in Ladd. Tickets are $8 a piece and are available at the door. Carry-outs are also available that evening by calling Rip’s at 815-894-3051. There will also be some raffle items, a 50/50 raffle and a bake sale.

Performances added for Stage 212 production

LASALLE — Because of outstanding ticket requests, Stage 212 has added performances of its spring production, “To Kill a Mockingbird,” at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, and 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26. Tickets are $15 each and may be purchased by visiting the box office between 4 and 6 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. and noon Saturday or by calling 815-224-3025 during the same hours. Tickets may also be purchased online by visiting www.stage212.org. There will be no more performances added.

Hall golf team fundraiser

SPRING VALLEY — A Rip’s fundraiser night supporting the Hall High School golf team will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 16, at Rip’s in Ladd. Tickets are $9 are include a choice of one-quarter light or dark chicken or chicken strips and fries. Drinks are not included. This will be eat-in or carry-out. For ticket information, call coach Mason Kimberley at 815-303-6003. The event will also include a bake sale, raffles and prizes.

Memorial golf outing planned

DEER GROVE — Rock River Hospice & Home’s 16th annual memorial golf outing, benefiting compassionate, quality hospice care for the terminally ill and honoring the memory of loved ones, will be June 22 at the Deer Valley Golf Club in Deer Grove. Chicken fry in Manlius

MANLIUS — A chicken fry will be held fro 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Manlius Sportsmen’s Club. The donation is $8. Carry-outs will be available. A 50/50 raffle will also be held.
