Princeton library will host programs during Money Smart Week

PRINCETON — In recognition of Money Smart Week, a number of programs have been scheduled for the week of April 23-27 by the Princeton Public Library.

Money Smart Week began as a coordinated effort of the Money Smart Advisory Council, a diverse group of more than 40 Chicago-area organizations working together to promote personal financial literacy.

The following programs will be presented:

• Monday, April 23 — “Investing” at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 23, presented by HTB Investment Services.

• Tuesday, April 24 — “Identity Theft & Scams” at 6:30 p.m., presented by Heartland Bank.

• Wednesday, April 25 — “I-CASH – Discover What’s Yours” from 4 to 7 p.m., presented by the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office; and “How To Build, Maintain and Repair Credit” at 6:30 p.m., presented by Heartland Bank.

• Thursday, April 26 — “Retirement Planning” at 6:30 p.m., presented by First State Bank.

• Friday, April 27 — “Buying Your First House ... A Lawyer’s Perspective” at 4 p.m., presented by Jim Angel.
