PRINCETON — The Princeton Public Library’s film series, “Black and White and Richard All Over,” continues at 6:30 this evening (Wednesday) with a film noir movie shot in London.
The monthly series, which continues through August, features black-and-white films starring Princeton’s own Richard Widmark from the early years of his career. Admission is free.
This 1950s-era drama finds Princeton’s hometown Hollywood movie star portraying a London hustler with ambitious plans that never seem to work out. His latest scheme shows promise at first, but eventually doomed by bad luck and treachery, it threatens to cost him his life.
“Black and White and Richard All Over” will continue the second Wednesdays of July and August.
The library has more than 50 Widmark film titles on DVD that can be checked out and viewed at home.
