BCR Sports Editor Kevin Hieronymus asked each player of the year to describe what makes one of their teammates such a special talent. Here’s their answers:
Vanaman on Rybarczyk
“Ty is a special talent due to the fact on how dominant he can be on the mound. He goes up there with tons of confidence and with a passion. He wants to be the guy to shut down games. He wants you to remember him. He’ll take advantages of your weaknesses. He’ll also challenge...he isn’t scared of no challenge.”
DeAngelo on McDonald
“What makes Cam such a special talent is how much time and effort he puts into the game. He puts in a lot of hard work. He also makes a bunch of sacrifices. And he never quits. He will always think we are in the game and the way he can stay locked in, either up 10 or down 10, he’s locked in.
Rybarczyk on DeAngelo
“Jimmy’s ability to stay focused on his craft and not let outside distractions potentially hold him back makes him a special athlete as well as a special person off the field. Very few people around here are like that. Besides that, his drive to continuously get better and ability to come through in the clutch also contribute to the JD you see on the field.”
McDonald on Vanaman
“What makes Brant a special talent is his work ethic and how seriously he takes his diet. Also he is never too high or too low he never lets his emotions get the best of him, and doesn’t think too much while he’s playing. I wouldn’t want to go to battle with anyone else.
