School Board conducts hearing on bonds

SPRING VALLEY — At the Spring Valley Elementary School Board meeting on July 26, a public hearing took place in regard to the $4.5 million in general obligation bonds for the roof and plumbing projects to be completed in the next two years.

In addition, according to Superintendent Jim Hermes, the board approved a three-year bus contract with Johannes Bus Service and hired Erin Cohill, K-1 special education, and Stephanie Brady-Crite, seventh English language arts.

The board approved two staff transfers, Kristyn Peterson to first-grade and Lindsay Olszewski to junior high special education.

The board accepted with regret the resignations of Gina Ghighi and Katelyn Sondgeroth.
