Hazel Gonigam

DIXON — Hazel Arlene Gonigam, 84, of Dixon, formerly of Walnut, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2018, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison.

Born March 14, 1934, in Mendota, the daughter of Vesta and Laura (Moody) Pasley, she married Gail Gonigam Sept. 6, 1985, at the Harmon Christian Assembly Church. He survives.

She worked as an administrative assistant before retirement. She was a member of the Lost Lake Community Church in Dixon.

Also surviving are three stepsons, Randall (Tamra) Gonigam of Somonauk, Robert (Tracy) Gonigam of Indiana and Ronald Gonigam of Roselle; a daughter-in-law, Christie Maas; a sister-in-law, Margie Pasley; a brother-in-law, Howard Glenn; five stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Darold Pasley; one sister, Marian Glenn; and one stepson, Richard Gonigam.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Aug., at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, 14733 IL Hwy. 92. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Glenn and Pastor John Trotter co-officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Lost Lake Community Church in Dixon or Serenity Hospice in Oregon.
