PRINCETON — The Bureau County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday near Log Cabin Curve, just south of Princeton, where one driver was life-flighted from the scene.
According to the report, Joshua J. Stanfield, 34, of Princeton was extricated from the wreckage by Princeton Fire and EMS and was flown by medical helicopter to St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
The other driver was Todd A. Gibson, 42, of Tiskilwa, who also had a female juvenile passenger in the vehicle with him at the time of the crash. Both Gibson and the juvenile were transported to Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.
Princeton Fire and EMS were called to the scene at approximately 4:35 p.m. Upon arrival, they found neither vehicle was on fire, which had been initially reported.
Police are not releasing any further details about the accident at this time.
