Bryan Fues

SPRING VALLEY — Bryan Fues, 61, of Spring Valley (Ottville) passed away Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at home with his wife by his side.

Bryan was born Nov. 30, 1956, in LaSalle to Herman and Willa (Stuart) Fues. He married Paula Gisler on May 7, 1982, in Princeton.

Bryan worked as an automotive technician all his life, retiring from JP Chevrolet on Sept. 22, 2017, after 28 years of service.

Bryan enjoyed working on anything that had a motor, traveling, collecting art and his many dogs. He was a volunteer at Illinois Valley Animal Rescue in LaSalle.

Bryan is survived by his wife of 36 years, Paula; a son, Timothy (Paige Moore) Yepsen of Ladd; a grandson, Nicholas Yepsen, a granddaughter, Alexis Yepsen, of Ladd; his mother, Willa Fues of Spring Valley; a sister, Holly (John) Lafferty of LaSalle; a brother, Todd Fues of Hennepin; a sister-in-law, Lori (Tom) Brown of Cherry; two brothers-in-law, Ron (Cyndee) Gisler of Peru and Norm (Carolyn Fettik) Gisler of DePue; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Fues; a sister, Lori Vela; and his mother-in-law, Carol Gisler, and father-in-law, Norman Gisler Jr.

According to his wishes, no services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue, Box 284, Peru, IL 61354; or Buddy’s Purpose, Box 244, Cherry, IL 61317.
