MENDOTA — First State Bank has been ranked as one of the top ag lenders in the country.
Every year, Illinois Community Bankers of American calculates the top community bank loan producers in the agricultural, commercial and consumer categories, broken down by asset size.
First State Bank has been named as 14th in the country and first in the state of Illinois in ag lending, as a percentage of assets, for $1 billion or larger asset size banks.
Timothy J. McConville, president and CEO of the company, commented: “I believe the achievement is due to many factors. We have an incredible team of lenders that have dealt with customers for several generations. The personal customer service they provide along with their vast lending knowledge makes a win-win for us and for the success of our farming community.”
