OHIO, Ill. — Michael R. Farrell, 67, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at his home.
He was born June 13, 1951, in Princeton, the son of Delmar Rex and Darlene Cecelia (Fordham) Farrell.
He had worked as a truck driver for Ace Distribution Center in Princeton for 20 years when he retired. He was a longtime volunteer of the Ohio Fire Department.
Michael was an avid NASCAR fan, a member of ABATE and was a supporter of the Ronald McDonald House in Harlingen, Texas, for many years.
Survivors include two sisters, Delma (Wayne) Daniel of LaSalle and Sandra Illing of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Dr. Dennis (Stephanie) Farrell of Princeton and Randall (Sally) Farrell of Ohio, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Tyson Farrell; and a brother-in-law, Tom Illing.
A private family service will take place at Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton. A public celebration of his life will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at the Ye Olde Underground Inn in Princeton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ohio Fire Department in his memory.
