Library program season starting up

WYANET — The R.A. Sapp Memorial Township Library in Wyanet is starting up another program season.

The monthly Publishing Class will start the season off at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11. This class can help authors navigate the issues that can be had while trying to self-publish or finding a publisher.

The 2018-19 2nd Thursday@the Library programming will run from September to November and then from March to May. The staff is busy lining up programs. September’s 2nd Thursday@the Library program will be a Pinterest party. Join the party at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, and learn how to arm knit an infinity scarf. The library will supply the fun — snackies and friends — the participants will need to supply the yarn. Call the library at 815-699-2342 for the particulars on type and weight of yarn.

The Book Group continues to meet on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. The next book discussion, “The Cruelest Miles: The Heroic Story of Dogs and Men in a Race Against an Epidemic,” by Gay and Laney Salisbury, will be on Sept. 27. The book group is open to the public. Stop in and grab a book and join the group discussion.
