Saturday was a game of numbers for Princeton volleyball coach Andy Puck and his Tigresses.

The Tigresses won the first Princeton Invite, handing the longtime PHS coach his 400th career victory in the process.

PHS swept all three matches in round-robin play, defeating Sherrard 25-22, 25-1, Byron 24-25, 25-7, 15-12; and Reed-Custer 20-25, 25-18, 15-11.

PHS senior Corinne Peterson made the all-tournament team. She had 48 digs with 11 aces.

Other leaders for PHS were Kaylee Hammerich (25 kills, 10 points), Olivia Vergamini (19 kills, 5 blocks, 7 points), Kenzie Coleman (21 points, 18 kills, 14 digs, 8 aces) and Katie Bates (21 points, 5 aces, 67 assists, 22 digs).

At Sandwich: The Princeton sophomore defeated Coal City 2-1 for third place at the Sandwich Invite Saturday. PHS went 3-2 on the day, both losses to tournament champion Seneca. PHS won the first set of the day against the Irish in pool play.
