Georgia Hamrick

ROCK FALLS — Georgia M. Hamrick, 60, of Rock Falls and Dixon died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, in CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Georgia was born in Gary, Ind., Dec. 17, 1957, to George and Dorothy (Griffin) Ferrell.

She was a homemaker. Georgia loved spending time with her family and her animals. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and cooking.

Georgia is survived by six children, Beatrice Rodriguez of LaSalle, Monisha (Bill) Neff of Princeton, Ben Rodriguez of Rock Falls, Scott Hamrick of Dixon, Destinee Hamrick of Rock Falls and Nathan Hamrick of Dixon; four grandchildren, Courtnie Rodriguez, Sebastian Parks, Jacob Wheelhouse and Alyssa Wheelhouse; two sisters, Betty (Byron) Pappas of LaSalle and Dorothy (Mario) Montanez of Rock Falls; and one brother, Eddie (Marilyn) Ferrell of Petersburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Calvin and John McDaniel.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, in the Hurst Funeral Home in LaSalle with the Rev. Steve Adamson, pastor of Faith Church in Peru, officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in LaSalle. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of services in the funeral home.
