PMH hosts Medicare ABCs meeting Nov. 1

PRINCETON — Perry Memorial Hospital is hosting an informational meeting on the ABCs of Medicare presented by Keith Leitzen and Jim O’Brien of Managed Care Partners Inc. on Thursday, Nov. 1, Lower Level Conference Room, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Learn about the two roads to Medicare and what you need to know when evaluating your options. Route one, the original Medicare providing coverage to you directly through Part A or Part B. Road two, the Medicare Advantage coverage offered by private insurance companies and Part A and B; Part D, and may be included in some plans.

Become aware of how the costs, coverage and rules may be different from the original Medicare.

Those who attend will become more familiar with the acronyms used and what they stand for, the networks available, prescription drug plans and how the different plans might affect out-of-pocket expenses.

If your navigation of the Medicare road seems daunting, this is an informational share meeting only. Please plan to attend and park at the Fifth Street entrance at the hospital’s visitor entrance and take the elevator to the lower level. Watch for signs.

Those who have questions may call 815-876-4481.
