PRINCETON — The Perry Memorial Hospital Tree of Lights kicked off its annual campaign at the Auxiliary Candy Cane on Nov. 2.
Since 1990, more than $104,660 has been raised and donated to the hospital for needed equipment. This year, donations to the Tree of Lights will be used to purchase an automatic door opener for the Family Health Clinic.
Special stars will be hanging at Perry Memorial Hospital on the tree located in the emergency room waiting area. A donation to the Tree of Lights is a unique way to express appreciation by honoring loved ones, friends, teachers, special groups and others. It is also a special way to memorialize someone who has left behind countless memories and friendships.
A donation of $10 will hang a small star on the tree and a donation of $100 will hang a large star on the tree. When a donation of $20 or more is given, an acknowledgment card will be sent to the person or family the donation is honoring.
For more information, call the Perry Memorial gift shop at 815-876-4421. Donations can be made at the gift shop or sent to Deb Kirley, 771 W. Boyd Ave., Princeton, IL 61356.
