Bureau County voter turnout was 57.9 percent; a look at turnout over the years

Voter turnout in Tuesday's election in Bureau County was 57.9 percent, according to Bureau County Clerk Kami Hieronymus' office.

According to unofficial totals, 13,809 people voted out of 23,847 registered voters.

Here is Bureau County voter turnout in gubernatorial elections, going back to 1982:

Nov. 6, 2018 — 57.9 percent (Pritzker-Rauner)

Nov. 4, 2014 — 53.3 percent (Rauner-Quinn)

Nov. 2, 2010 — 54.5 percent (Quinn-Brady)

Nov. 7, 2006 — 49 percent (Blagojevich-Topinka)

Nov. 5, 2002 — 57 percent (Blagojevich-Jim Ryan)

Nov. 3, 1998 — 61 percent (Poshard-George Ryan)

Nov. 8, 1994 — 66 percent (Edgar-Netsch)

Nov. 6, 1990 — 64 percent (Edgar-Hartigan)

Nov. 4, 1986 — 60 percent (Thompson-Stevenson)
