MANLIUS — Stephanie Gripp, daughter of Chad and TeNeille Gripp, has been named the 2018-19 DAR Good Citizen Award winner from Bureau Valley High School in Manlius.
Chosen by the faculty and senior class, Gripp excels in service, leadership and patriotism.
Gripp has been on the high honor roll throughout high school and was inducted into the National Honor Society as a junior.
She has been active in Renaissance at Bureau Valley High School, such as presenting at both local and national workshops. She is also been involved in FFA. She has served as Bureau Valley chapter sentinel, chapter president, section sentinel and section treasurer.
In November, Gripp was a nominee of the Elks Teen of the Month.
After graduation, Gripp plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in animal science and agricultural communications. She will be a part of the honors program and will be a member of the women’s equestrian team.
The Princeton Chapter of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution is again sponsoring the Good Citizens’ Program for all high schools in Bureau County.
The National Association of Secondary School Principals has placed this program on the National Advisory List of Contests and Activities for 2018-19.
