Barbara Larson

PRINCETON —áBarbara F. Larson, 91, of Princeton passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Barbara was born on May 22, 1927, to Raymond and Viola (Scott) Gerard in Toulon. She married the late James Larson on Jan. 2, 1948, at the Methodist Church in Princeton. She was a homemaker and raised their three children.

She enjoyed sewing and embroidery, as well as cooking for her family and supporting her favorite baseball team, the Chicago Cubs. She loved to garden and spend time with her family.

Barbara is survived by two sons, Robert “Bob” Larson of Peru, William “Bill” (Christine) Larson of Rock Falls; one daughter, Brenda Larson of Princeton; two grandsons, Jeff Larson and Mark Larson; and two great-grandchildren, William Larson and Guilianna Larson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Larson (2000); one daughter in infancy; and two sisters, Geraldine Calef and Donna Behnke.

Services will be held at noon Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, officiated by Pastor Brad Wilson, followed by a graveside service at Oakland Cemetery.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 7, prior to services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for charitable disbursement.
